The hardest trek I’ve undertaken was in 2019, when Sarah and I walked from Grenoble to Avignon over the Vercors Massif and through the stunning countryside of Provence. Ten days of long climbs without much water and under the blazing sun were not enough to spoil the pleasure we derived from the landscape, the food and wine, and the people we met along the way. Tragically, on our way home, I lost my new camera. To this day, I shudder when I think of the photos I lost (not too mention an expensive camera!). So, all my photos below were taken on my phone.
